The 1960 Reissue Les Paul Standard is identical to the '59 Reissue except that the 1960 model has a slightly slimmer neck and reflector knobs. This 1960 Reissue Les Paul Standard is a very rare and unique Custom Shop One Off built for the player who's always wanted a Black Beauty, but with a slimmer neck. The slim taper neck profile on this instrument is thin and smooth, allowing movement up and down the neck with great ease. This guitar was built to the same specs as the original 1960 Les Paul Standard, but with a Ebony finish. Every subtle detail of this model has been painstakingly reproduced and nothing has been left to chance. From the voluptuous top carve to the comfortable "less shoulders" neck profile, Gibson went all out using the latest technology to get closer to pure visual and tonal nirvana, including the giving this guitar the VOS treatment for the final touch of perfection. This VOS aging treatment makes the guitar look exactly like a vintage original instrument that's been treated with loving care for its whole life. The Custom shop has even captured the guitar's wireless ABR-1 bridge, bumblebee capacitors, CTS pots, and the correct materials and shape of the bridge posts and thumbwheels, truss rod cover, strap button, and pickguard. This guitar is equipped with Burstbucker 1 & 2 pickups which are the closest thing to Gibson PAFs. These pups really honk! This is a very powerful guitar with a BIG sound. Huge midrange with a very strong upper range. Very responsive to the lightest touch and quite articulate. This is a great classic rock guitar with the balls to back it up!

This guitar weighs in at 8 lbs. 1.5 oz. You won't find another Black Beauty that light! She's light on your back and extremely resonant!
