1973 Fender Precision Bass

The King of TONE! The Precision Bass is the most popular electric bass of all time. Introduced in November 1951 as the first electric bass, the Fender Precision has remained in constant production to this day. From Rockabilly to Funk to Surf to Metal, the Precision Bass has long been a favorite of rock bassists because of its fat, punchy, driving sound. The Motown sound would not have been possible were it not for James Jamerson's driving rhythms and searing bass melodies. And, who can forget Donald "Duck" Dunn's amazing bass lines with the Blues Brothers and Booker T & The MG'S?

This Precision Bass is the heart of the band. It's the funky beat of the 70's. It's a far-out and funky time capsule collectible. This Precision Bass has a rosewood board, giving it a warm wonderful tone. This bass is 100% all original and in better than excellent condition. The serial number (371684), the pot codes and pickups all correctly date this guitar to 1973. The 3 tone Sunburst finish is beautiful and lightly checked giving it the look of a well cared for vintage treasure. The frets show very little wear and the back of the neck feels like glass in your hand. Weighing in at 8 lbs 10.5 ozs, this Precision is extremely light, extremely resonate and she plays like butter. The neck is straight. and in fact we just did a pro set up on this bass, so she is ready to rock! This bass comes complete with the original hardshell case and a whole lotta' MOJO!
