Using using old-school techniques and the finest cuts of wood, the craftsmen at Big Tex Guitars have created a masterpiece in this baby right here! This guitar was Custom Built for Route 66 Classic Guitars to the exact specs of a '53 Tele complete with a Black Pickguard and an ultra thin Butterscotch finish. The craftsmen at Big Tex extensively researched neck and body shapes to replicate in every detail the 1953 model. This guitar features a one piece ash body, old school milled jack cup, and a Glendale cold rolled steel bridge plate and comp. saddle set! It really does not get any better than this! This fabulous guitar has a large soft "V" shape 9.5" radius maple neck that feels great in your hand. The thickness of the neck measures .920 at the first fret and .980 at the 12th. Fully loaded with Big Tex Custom RioGrande pups, 6105 frets and weighing in at 7 lbs .3 oz, this guitar plays and sounds like the Hammer Of The Honky Tonk Gods! Handcrafted in the lone star state of Texas! This guitar is brand new and perfect and it comes complete with this lightweight and easy to carry gig bag. The serial number is an actual ticket stub from Gilley's famous honky tonk/bar in Pasadena, Texas. A whole roll of tickets were secured after the fire that burned it down in 1990. Each numbered ticket will be placed in the control cavity and serve as the serial numbers of our Big Tex Teles until they are all gone. Check it out!
