1992 Rickenbacker 360/12 WB Fireglo

Meditate for a moment on the sound of The Beatles in the mid '60s and your mind's ear is likely to land upon that stirring "Rick-O-Sound" that was, for a time, a trademark of the Fab Four's instrumental assault. They knew the power that a new sound could possess and for a period of a couple years from 1964, the Rickenbacker 360/12 WB was Harrison's main axe. It was the sonic attention getter that helped many Beatles classics to really pop. This instrument became a key part of the Beatles' sound on their LP A Hard Day's Night and other Beatles songs. Harrison played this guitar sporadically throughout the remainder of his life. Through the years a Rickenbacker 360 (or similar model) would appear in the hands of Roger McGuinn of The Byrds, Pete Townshend, Tom Petty and Mike Campbell of The Heartbreakers, Peter Buck of REM and many other notable players.

This 1992 Rickenbacker 360/12 WB finished in Fireglo is not just another beautiful and great sounding guitar. It is extremely rare and collectible. Discontinued in 2003, this model has the distinctive R-tailpiece, sharkfin inlays and stereo jacks that make this guitar so cool! This Deluxe hollow body with its special contour around the entire body perimeter, is still perhaps the most comfortable guitar of all. The bound body and Rosewood fingerboard, inlayed with triangular pearloid markers, provide an exceptionally attractive appearance. "Rick-O-Sound" stereo output is standard. It allows pickup signals to be split between two amps. Normal output is provided by the lower jack socket.

This guitar really captures the magic of the 60's! It can be strung with 6 or 12 strings, your choice. Right now we have it strung with 6 strings. This guitar is in MINT condition. Previously owned by a collector who obviously cared a great deal about keeping this guitar in pristine condition. This guitar comes complete with the original hardshell case and tons of mojo!
